Bodnar Heating and Air Conditioning began with Rudy Bodnar, former Westinghouse, west-coast troubleshooter, who saw a need for a residential air conditioning service company. In 1976 he opened his doors in San Carlos and became well known in the area for his expertise and excellence in service.
In 1983 his son Bruce took over the company and carried on his father’s legacy, over the following decades growing the company into the premier residential service provider on the mid-peninsula today.
Now, Bruce’s son, John has taken the reigns after almost a decade of learning from his Father all the facets of being an expert maintenance, repair and installation technician. Together with his wife, Heather, who manages the office, they provide sterling residential repair and maintenance service, indoor air quality advice and design, and assistance to HVAC installers and general contractors.

What we do
Our primary focus is to repair and maintain residential HVAC systems. We work on all brands, arrive at your home with a well-stocked vehicle, and can usually fix your problem on the first visit.
Our billing method is simple. No hidden fees or complicated jargon. We stick to a straight forward, time-based hourly rate plus parts. We accept most major credit cards, checks or cash and allow you to pay your bill conveniently online with our e-Invoicing option.

Routine maintenance is the most important factor to maintaining the efficiency and long-life of your system.
We recommend preventative maintenance annually for furnaces and semi-annually for systems with A/C to keep your equipment running and to reduce otherwise unexpected repair costs.
